With the goal of initiating a sustainable development of the climbing and bouldering industry, we have created a concept that combines the advantages of commercial plastic holds with the sustainability aspect of a renewable raw material.

This has resulted in a product range that combines design versatility, durability and aesthetics.
​
The Dual-Wood series consists of different hold sets, which have been specially designed for modern route setting. Due to a specially developed biodegradable surface treatment, the holds are waterproof and withstand the high stress demands of modern bouldering.
By using two types of wood it is possible to combine the natural properties of these two materials to generate a product that will change the perspective of modern climbing holds.

The surface treatment used for our holds was produced by an Austrian company and is based on renewable raw materials! In order to improve the properties of the surface, modifications have been developed which increase the durability and functionality of the products!
In order to ensure the usability for climbing and bouldering gyms, this surface treatment was tested at the FH-Salzburg, Campus Kuchl for the following demands:

- Taber abraser test (EN 15185)
- Chemical resistance (EN 12720)
- Water and moisture absorption
- Scratch resistance (EN 15186)

The evaluations showed a waterproof and chemical-resistant effect of the surface. Results were also achieved for abrasion resistance and scratch resistance, which indicates a long service life for the holds!

We want to present you a product that meets the high demands of climbing and bouldering without standing in the way of sustainability!

characteristics
The specially developed surface treatment provides the holds with a highly water-repellent property. This makes cleaning with a pressure cleaner possible and extends the lifetime of the products significantly!
Waterproof
The ash wood in combination with the wax-based surface generates a grip structure with very good friction. Due to the Dual-Tex properties of the climbing holds, the use can be accurately specified when setting routes!
Friction
In order to improve the functionality and lifetime of the Dual-Wood holds, washers have been integrated for the M10 threaded screws as well as for the wood screws.
Functionality
Due to the uniform design, colour and matching grip angles, all sets of the Dual-Wood series can be combined with each other. To achieve a uniform appearance of the finished boulder, each set contains hold sizes from macros to footholds.
